Buffalo extended the DriveStation family by introducing the DriveStation Combo4, which is capable of connecting via intefaces like eSATA, FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0. The DriveStation Combo4 is an ideal external storage solution for both Mac and PC platforms.

The eSATA interface boosts the data transfer rates for PC, and FireWire 800 enables high-speed data transfer for Mac. The drive comes with TurboUSB technology for enhanced data transfer rates when compared to standard USB 2.0 connections.

The drive comes with set of free software such as Memeo, AutoBackup, which ensures continuous background backup and password protection. Buffalo’s Secure Lock Ware offers file encryption through 256 bit AES Encryption technology. Mac OSX Leopard’s Time Machine is supported as well.
