AT&T is now offering the Wi-Fi enabled BlackBerry Pearl 8120, the previous Pearl model 8100 had suffered from several problems such as microSD card behind the battery, EDGE only data service, and unconventional(2.5mm) headphone jack. The Pearl 8120 is a improvised version of 8100 with microSD slot relocated to the side of the phone easy access and headphone jack is changed to the conventional 3.5mm.
Above all the BlackBerry Pearl 8120 is a Wi-Fi enabled phone that comes in a compact size with good form factor.

Rumors are that Apple is discussing an “unlimited” subscription music service with major record labels. Apple would provide access to entire iTunes Library in exchange for a premium on iPod music players. But the trouble is this may be a rumor after all, it seems there are no such talks going on. Even the major music labels dismissed the possibility of the unlimited subscription, but with the iPod sales going down, there is possibility for Apple to roll out such a plan.

Sun Microsystems is developing a Java Virtual Machine for Apple iPhone and intends to release it in the coming June. Seems like, opening up iPhone SDK to Enterprises turned out to be a really good move by Apple for iPhone users and Apple itself.
JVM on iPhone could bring Games like Harry Potter and Enterprise applications like ERP or CRM, useful applications like MapQuest Mobile and thousands of existing Java based apps.
Above all Java on iPhone means security. Java can bring its SSL Security features to Apple’s platform as well.

Nokia aimed to promote their brand of products in a pretty special way. Nokia branded chocolaty cakes will be soon released in Taiwan. Previously Nokia released moon cakes in china which became instant hit. With the moon cakes the company showed some their phone models on the cakes with some chocolate and sugar fillings, that’s pretty hard to make. But, the new version doesn’t have anything like that. The cakes are wrapped in a brown and golden covers, which makes it highly appealing and stylish.

BuzzTracker is a website that receives the information from different sources and publishes on a single page, just like Google News. BuzzTracker is unknown to many. Rumors are that Yahoo bought BuzzTracker for $5 million. The BuzzTracker already designed a Digg-like technology, which of course is never released, but if the rumors are to be believed, Digg is going to have a tough competition from BuzzTracker.

A Swedish company TerraNet developed an idea of making free calls between mobile phones for free. The Concept is using peer to peer technology to make calls without the need for a mobile phone base station.
The Idea:
The handsets will be designed to work as peers, I.e., every phone acts as a peer and also as a node between other phones.

One million iPhones were sold since the phone first introduced on June 29 2007. The company reached the milestone days after the price slash($200). The price cut may have done the trick. Whatever it is, apple enjoyed a huge success with iPhone.
