Complaints are pouring in on the latest Vista Service Pack 1, which is said to fix 551 bugs in the Windows Vista. People are complaining about slow shutdown times, the infamous “blue screen of death”, sidebar loading problems, remote assistance problems and several others related to drivers and performance on windowsvistablog. Even the tech guys at the University of Pennsylvania advised the staff and students to stay off the Vista SP1 update.

Digsby is a pretty cool application that lets you do you chat with all your friends no matter which client they are on. Also the application provides an email notification tool that alerts of new mails(all networks) and provides simple functions like delete and mark as spam. And, there is a social networking tool that informs of new messages and your friends activities that are going on in the social networking Websites such as FaceBook, MySpace and Twitter.

TimeBridge is a free web tool that can save you lot of time on planning a schedule. The tools allows you to create a meeting and propose up to five meeting times and send the invitation via email. Google Code now allows the users to take a quick look at the code for any project. The source code viewer is a Ajax-powered tool that allow the users to highlight syntax, see revisions, browsing directory in the tree-view, easier navigation through Subversion repository and lot more. Thanks to Jenan wise, an intern from Google who is responsible for this great tool.

Cairo is a windows shell alternative designed to run on both vista and xp. The software is scheduled to go public next week which is currently in pre-alpha phase. The goal of the software is to redefine the desktop experience. The Graphical user interface looks like the Apple Leopard. It is yet to be seen if the software is actually eye candy, not resource hogging, and dynamic.
