Sony Ericsson today announced its new installment in the X-series, the Sony Ericsson X2 featuring Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, 8.1 megapixel camera with auto focus, image stabilization, geo tagging, 16x digital zoom, and a 3.2-inch 480×800 resolution touchscreen display. The connectivity options include quad-band EDGE and tri-band(850/900/1900) 3G.
The X2 will be released in two variations, first model X2a being a 3G model meant for United States. Sony Ericsson says the X2 will launch in the Q4 this year, but there is no indication on the pricing yet.
