All the models will have an Intel Atom N230 1.6GHz processor but the other specs will differ based on the model. The cheaper version will have 1GB RAM, 8GB SSD drive, Linux Operating System and the higher-end costlier version comes with 2GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive, 3D game controller, Wireless keyboard and Mouse, Windows Vista Home Premium Operating System.

Coming to the specs, AOpen XC Encore PC comes packed with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, RAM up to 4GB, 8X DVD Burner, 7.1 Channel audio, two mini PCI Slots, four USB Slots, Ethernet port, HDMI and DVI video output. The PC weighs about 8.6lbs and ships with either Windows XP or Windows Vista depending on the choice. A Media Center remote control is included with the system.

However there is no mention on the price by Acer, but the price might be in the 400$ to 500$ range.

UPDATE: Acer Aspire is now available for pre-order in United Kingdom in the price range 265$ to 490$.

The model ST120 comes with a Intel Core2 Duo P8400 (2.26GHz) processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB of storage, which can be upgraded up to 320GB, Intel GM45 Express Chipset, Digital TV Tuner MonsterTV HDUS and a Blu-ray burner. Everything is neatly packed in a black glossy case.

The CPU can be upgraded with a Core 2 Duo P8600, or T9400 or T9600.

ASUS Eee Box B203 is a Celeron-based Eee Box model. It is a mini-desktop with Intel C220 processor, 2GB RAM and 160GB storage.

The dimensions of the box are 8.7 x 7 x 1 (inches), It is small enough to be fitted behind any LCD Monitor. The Box requires only 20 watts of power, thus reducing the carbon footprint by up to 90%.

HP Compaq dc5850 is a mini desktop for business users. It is a Linux-based desktop boasting AMD Phenom X4 / Phenom X3 / Athlon X2 / Athlon 64 LE / or Sempron LE processor, AMD 780V chipset, maximum memory of up to 8GB DDR2, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS or ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT, 500GB HDD, optional removable hard drive, DVD burner, and 6 USB 2.0 Ports.

Acer announced its Intel Core i7 based desktop, the Aspire M7720 in Taiwan yesterday at IT Month 2008.

The desktop comes in a clean-looking chassis with the all new Intel quad-core 2.66GHz Core i7 processor, 3GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable up to 12GB), a 750 GB hard disk, ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphic card with 1 GB of video RAM. The basic config mentioned above would cost $1200 and will hit the stores by the end of this month on the stateside.
