Samsung introduced a new 1080p monitor, the Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS today. The display is a 23.6-inch panel with a native resolution of 1920×1080, 300 cd/m2, 5ms response time, 50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
The glossy looks are missing with this monitor since the display sports an all new business look with matte motif finish, something that we won’t see in a Samsung display. The display also comes with in-built stereo speakers and HDMI/VGA/DVI input slots.
The LCD will go on sale in Japan next month for ¥40,000 (app. $400), and will soon hit the US markets.
