Sony launched a device that lets PS3 users to record live television in high-definition that can be stored on the console or can be transferred to PSP for later viewing. All the advances(GPS add-on for PSP and digital TV recorder) from Sony could boost its sales. Sony is facing tough competition from Nitendo Wii and XBox 360.
Sony said the digital twin tuners are high definition ready and able to view, record and playback in HD format. Also, the recorded video can be sent wirelessly to PSP from the console. The PS3 lets users to record individual episodes or even the entire series to its hard drive.
