AMD announced the launch of a new line of Opteron class processors with a running frequency of 3.2 GHz. The new processors are part of high performance Special Edition that are more expensive than the rest of the Opteron class products.
The new Special Edition are top in the line when the dual core CPU’s are considered. It is highly unlikely though, the special edition can actually see the wide deployment. The Special Edition CPU’s could be the last in the Opteron class of products.
