HP announced its new budget laptop, the HP 550 without much of a fanfare. The HP 550 is an upgraded version of HP 530. Users can opt for memory up to 4GB and hard disk storage up to 250 GB.
The Notebook includes 802.11 wireless slot, Ethernet LAN, optional Bluetooth and 3 USB ports, VGA output and an Express Card slot.
The Notebook weighs 5.5 pounds and operating system options include Free DOS, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
HP says the product is "coming soon" and there is no information on the pricing.
