Users will be able to choose from over 100 designs, which the company collected from number of artists, such as mike Ming, Brittany Waldner and Joseph Amedokpo. These designs are applied to the lid of a system being ordered at a cost of $75.

The users can browse the designs by artist or by colors. Note that the designs or not adhesive in nature, they are actually infused into the plastic before manufacturing. Also, Dell is planning to make it possible for the customers to upload their own design in the future.

Dell’s Intel Core i7 based desktops, XPS Studio and XPS 730x are up for sale now. The XPS Studio is an Entertainment PC priced at 950$ boasts 2GB memory, 256 MB ATI Radeon HD 3450 graphics card, and 500GB of storage, while the high-end model is priced at 1500$ comes with a 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4850, 6GB of RAM, 750GB Hard Disk and a 24-inch Flat panel monitor.

Another model Dell XPS730x intended for the gaming audience comes packed with Intel Core i7 processor, 6GB of DDR3 memory, updated thermal monitoring system and chassis(for keeping the PC cooler while extreme gaming), you can opt for either an ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB graphics card or NVIDIA GeForce GTX280 1GB graphics card. The base config system is priced at 2600$. All the systems ship with Vista Premium Home Edition.

Dell launched an all-in-one, the XPS One 24 today. The XPS One 24 is a 24-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080, comes packed with 4GB of RAM, Intel Q8200 Quad Core processor, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi Connectivity, Super-Multi DVD Writer, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse set. Priced at $1700 this one is a stealer. You can also get a dedicated NVIDIA 9600 GT 512MB graphics card for a little extra.

The metal grill design keeps the inside components cool, thus ensuring less power consumption. It seems the new systems with the new Intel hardware consume 43 percent less power than the previous counterparts.

The Dell OptiPlex 960 comes in a mini-tower with a minimum configuration of Intel Core 2 Duo 3GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 80GB of SATA Hard Disk with transfer rate of 3GB/sec.

The system can be customized with more memory, and a dedicated ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphic card. Dell also launched its first thin-client desktop, the OptiPlex FX160 small enough to be mounted on the back of the LCD monitor. The system is intended to be used with a virtual operating system on the network. The system is priced at $399.

Dell also launched the budget OptiPlex 760 and an ultra-small form factor OptiPlex 360 systems with a minimum 2GHz Celeron for a base price of $630 and $ 897 respectively.

Dell rolls out a Gaming PC that follows the Nvidia’s Enthusiast System Architecture. XPS 630 is a entry level model that follows the styling of the expensive 700 series, but uses a smaller chassis. The system includes a Core 2 Quad 6600(2.4 GHz) CPU, NVidia 650i SLI chipset, 2 GB memory, 320GB hard drive, GeForce 8800 GT graphics card.

All this for $1249. There is also a $1299 version that comes with an extra GeForce 8800 GT graphics card.
