AOpen XC Encore OE700 Media PC

AOpen Japan announced the availability of its upcoming compact desktop XC Encore OE700 today. The PC uses Smart Anti-Vibration System to keep the noise levels to the lowest. Also, the case is intelligently designed to suppress the noise, which they call Smart Noise Suppression System.

Coming to the specs, AOpen XC Encore PC comes packed with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, RAM up to 4GB, 8X DVD Burner, 7.1 Channel audio, two mini PCI Slots, four USB Slots, Ethernet port, HDMI and DVI video output. The PC weighs about 8.6lbs and ships with either Windows XP or Windows Vista depending on the choice. A Media Center remote control is included with the system.

Princeton’s 21.5-inch 1080p Monitor

Princeton Japan announced a 21.5-inch 1080p LCD Monitor, the PTFBGF-22RW with a screen resolution of 1920×1080 and true 16:9 native aspect ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 5ms response time. The monitor has a 160 degrees of vertical viewing angle and 170 degrees of horizontal viewing angle.

The connectivity options include two HDMI ports, one VGA port, a 3.5mm audio jack input and output. The Monitor will be available from next month onwards for 26800 Japanese Yen or 292 US Dollars.

HANNspree’s 28-inch 1080p LCD HDTV

The UK based brand HANNspree introduced a 28-inch “1080p” Full HD display, the HT09 with a native resolution of 1920×1200, which the company claims to be the world’s first 28-inch HDTV display.

It comes with two HDMI ports, a VGA socket, integrated ATSC /NTSC / Clear QAM tuner, 3ms response time, 3000:1 contrast ratio, speakers (5wattsx2), and audio in/out ports. The display meets the latest Energy Star 3.0 requirements and is moderately priced at $500.

Western Digital intros WD TV HD Media Player

Western Digital today quietly unveiled its WD TV HD Media Player. The device is capable of 1080p playback, all you need to do is to plug in a USB drive or a USB Hard Drive and the device will stream the HD content to your HDTV in 1080p over the HDMI.

The device is very portable in size(1.5 x 4.9 x 3.9 in inches) and comes with a remote control.

Priced at $130, now available at BestBuy, this box is a stealer for what it does.
