Cowon D2+ due in Japan Next Week

Cowon D2+ was announced last month by Cowon Korea, which is an upgrade to its existing D2 model. The D2+ weighs just 91g with a form factor of 78×55.4×16.6mm.

It comes with a 2.5” QVGA LCD display and is available in two models, one with DMB tuner and other without. D2+ will be available in the sizes of either 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB. There is an extra SDHC card slot, which supports up to 32GB.

The Cowon D2+ will be available from next week onwards in Japan without the DMB tuner.

Toshiba intros 16GB microSDHC card

Toshiba unveiled a 16GB microSDHC card which will be put into mass production from January 2009 onwards.

The SD-C16G should be enough to store your entire favorite music collection with that much capacity. Toshiba is also introducing Class 6 SDHC models, SD-F16G and SD-F08G that are 16GB and 8GB cards respectively, very soon. No price details yet.

Kingston intros 4GB and 8 GB SDHC Combo

Kingston released a Multi-Kit bundle which consists of 8 GB micro SDHC card with both full-size and miniSD adapters and also a USB micro reader at CTIA. This bundle is designed to facilitate data transfers between the computer, digital cameras, mobile phones, or whatever the device that takes SDHC input. The card can also be used as swappable storage with the help of the adapter that comes with the package.

The card comes with a lifetime warranty and costs 22$ for the 4GB version and 40$ for the 8GB version.
