Compact Disc turned 25yr old yesterday whose future is in doubt with the new found digital products like Ipod, Flash Drives, HD Disc, Blue ray disc, etc.,
The first CD was developed by Sony Corporation. The first CD contained Richard Strauss’s Alpine Symphony. The Compact Disc ruled the music industry from 1990 onwards. They replaced the aging cassettes. The CD still holds the major recordings of music industry, but its sales have been decreasing rapidly.
